Manager, Leadership Development Programs

Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Leadership Development Programs, the Leadership Development Programs Manager will oversee the day-to-day management of program activities for the Developing Executive Leaders in Public Health (DELPH) program and other leadership development products. This position will work with staff across ASTHO to ensure the key components of the DELPH program are developed and implemented effectively. They will play a direct role in tracking program deliverables and ensure timelines are met.

Principal Functions:
- Provide management and oversite for the Developing Executive Leaders in Public Health program
- Oversee the DELPH application and review process for each cohort
- Function as a liaison between the leadership development team and other ASTHO teams, such as the Engagement, Meetings, and Public Relations teams, to ensure the meticulous planning and successful execution of DELPH events
- Develop comprehensive implementation plans tailored to different DELPH cohorts, encompassing application procedures, timelines, staffing requirements, and deadlines
- Manages all correspondence and scheduling for program participants
- Support the design, coordination, and delivery of training programs for virtual, hybrid and in-person events
- Prepare, edit, and distribute documents and professional correspondence on behalf of the team
- Prepare briefing materials, annotated agendas, and/or written summaries
- Engage with the communications and pr team to develop a comprehensive plan to market, promote and work capture program experiences and testimonials on an ongoing basis
- Oversee, implement, and evaluate DELPH alumni programming (i.e. plan and implement bi-monthly sessions, maintaining accurate contact information, and market
- Manage DELPH scholar outputs and scheduling —Blog posts, Intersession Assignments and Capstone Project
- Consult with project teams to identify relevant resources and opportunities for collaboration with the Leadership Development programs
- Assist in writing progress reports and evaluating program activities and outcomes
- Create, maintain and provide status reports to the Leadership Programs Director on a regular basis
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in public health, Higher Ed, Human Resources / Leadership Development, or related field preferred
- Minimum 4 years of documented experience managing/developing learning programs or progressive experience in relevant area
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required
- Comfort leading small group instruction in-person and virtual
- Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required
- Strong organizational and time management skills necessary
- Proven experience with instructional technology, with hands-on experience using Zoom and other virtual platforms preferred
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a heavy volume, high paced environment
- Experience working for membership association and/or government officials is preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel, 5-10%, based on in-person convenings
