Summary: Supports activities related to the monitoring and reporting of ASTHO’s Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) funding. Reports to the Assistant Director of Program Operations.
Location: Remote
Anticipated salary: $77,000 Extended experience: up to $87,500 if experience exceeds expectations
Principal Functions:
- Assist as financial point of contact for PHIG programmatic teams
- Prepare financial reports to monitor and forecast utilization of PHIG funding and identify areas of spending concern
- Coordinate financial meeting schedule and agenda with PHIG programmatic teams
- Prepare materials, take notes, and send follow-up for PHIG financial meetings with programmatic teams
- Support PHIG programmatic teams in reviewing planned and active staffing, contracts, and travel
- Update and maintain PHIG budgets according to funder restrictions and regulations to meet changing needs of public health landscape
- Prepare submission packages for PHIG budget revisions and applications for additional funding
- Collaborate with PHIG programmatic and financial teams to identify and rectify project challenges
- Maintain confidential financial documents for PHIG projects on shared drives
- As needed, support with additional analyses and evaluation of project performance to inform decision making amongst executive PHIG programmatic leads
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in relevant field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health programs & projects
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent financial/data analysis skills
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel - experience with spreadsheets and data tracking preferred
- Ability to manage diverse priorities with positive outcomes
- Willingness to work on projects across the department
- Ability and willingness to travel
